The depression will move northeastward, due to southeasterly winds about 10,000m above mean sea level that dominate Central India. There is wind shear line (a line which separates regions of differing wind speed) about 1,500m above mean sea level over northeast India. Heavy rains can, therefore, be expected in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
